Not only does your Fantasy Football team have major post-season implications this weekend but the actual NFL teams do as well. Speaking of playoff teams, Kerry Byrne from ColdHardFootballFacts.com, joins us to identify the weaknesses of the top playoff contenders. After all we know the Broncos have a prolific passing attack and the Seahawks have a dominant defense and run game, but what do those teams do poorly? December 17, 2013 11:09 AM PST
This is it. Week 16 of the NFL can only mean one thing to Fantasy Football Players, THE FANTASY FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP.
Whether you were saved by Jamaal Charles or escaped the wrath of Justin Tucker’s six Field Goals, including one 61 yard-er, there’s just one more week to bring home that trophy, bragging rights, and cash.
Luckily it seems a lot of our regular callers and listeners made it past their semi-finals and into the Championship week. We were overwhelmed by calls and emails, praising us for our service. We certainly appreciate the great testimonials, but there’s still one more week to prepare for, which is what we do on the Week 16 episode of the Fantasy Football Champs.Football Nation's "Monday Morning Huddle" Week 15: Top AFC Seeds All Fall
December 16, 2013 01:50 AM PST
Football Nation proudly presents another episode of Monday Morning Huddle with Host Dave Holcomb. On this week's show, Holcomb highlights the missed opportunities each team had in securing its playoff position. First, top-seeded Denver loses to San Diego, but then second-seeded New England failed to move into a tie for first by losing to Miami. Playing on Sunday night, Cincinnati watched both the Broncos and Patriots lose and knew its team had a chance to increase the liklihood of a first round bye, only to lose to division rivalry Pittsburgh.
In the NFC, Philadelphia lost to Minnesota, who was without its top two running backs, but Dallas blew a 23-point halftime lead and did not move into a first place tie in the East.
The show ends with the 'Fourth and Long' segment that features a discussion on the return of Jay Cutler, the Saints running into blues outside of New Orleans and Jamaal Charles' nearly record setting day. All that and more in this episode of Monday Morning Huddle.Stat Pack Week 15: Patriots' Super Bowl Chances Doomed?
December 12, 2013 02:45 PM PST
Adam Dobrowolski examines the question surrounding the potential "end" of the Patriots' legitimate Super Bowl hopes -- and it has more to do with the Mathletics than the Gronk injury. Also, find out the impact of a touchdown-heavy Week 14 on the CHFF Big Board.Football Nation Radio: Week 15
December 12, 2013 11:10 AM PST
Typically on our Football Nation radio show we spend close to 45 minutes or so helping our listeners with their Fantasy Football lineups. During the other Hour and 15 minutes we discuss the latest NFL Headlines, talk about the playoff picture and what needs to happen on the schedule for team’s to make last second pushes or clinch home field. It’s a great balance that touches on both the NFL and Fantasy Football.
But when it’s the Fantasy Football playoffs, all plans are thrown out the window. Literally for an Hour and 45 minutes we were on the phones taking your calls and answering your lineup questions via emails. It was very rewarding for both Bill and Todd to know that not only are our listeners still making a run for the Fantasy Football Championships but their teams are stacked thanks in part to the advice we’ve given all year (audience praise not patting ourselves on the back).
So below you’ll find out the latest playoff breakdown since we didn’t have time to get to it during the show. But again, it’s the Fantasy Football playoffs, so if you couldn’t tune in LIVE, listen now On-Demand for our strategy and lineup advice in Week 15.
